Minister Jim Sexton

Debbie and I have been here since late spring 2005. We came in response to a need for a family to teach, reach out, and preach the Word of God to the Cherokee community. As our time here expands we learn more and more of how little we really know about this region, both the native people and the 'mountain folk'. As we work here, grow here, and make an effort to plant ourselves in the community we are seeing doors open to us in a variety of ways. So many of the people that we live with, love with, and work with are wounded by past bad experiences with 'church', come from families that are horribly broken, and are searching for something... but they are not sure what. Our goal is to help them over come the first, learn not to repeat the second, and point them toward the Lord God and his Son for the last. People are always seeking something and we want to help them in their search for the Truth that only comes from the Lord.
